Supermarket Visual Identity
Supermarket
Restaurant & Bar
Supermarket is a restaurant located in the heart of Kensington Market offering food that is always "market fresh," and a spacious layout for dance parties all weekend long.
When creating a new brand identity for this Toronto spot, the challenge was to marry the restaurant's retro aesthetic with a modern vibe that would attract millenials.
Playing off the restaurant's name "Supermarket" (a nod to the restaurant's location in Kensington Market), the look and feel is inspired by design motifs that are common to grocery stores and supermarkets, most notably produce stickers. We saw an opportunity to invigorate the brand with vibrant colours and expressive typography that feels both fresh and authentic to the restaurant's roots.
